Raghuram Rajan written “I Do What I Do”
Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has written a book titled ‘I Do What I Do: On Reform, Rhetoric & Resolve’.
In this book, Raghuram Rajan explains economic concepts and talks of issues like tolerance and connection between political freedom and prosperity.
The book is a collection of essays and speeches during his stint as Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor.

New Rs 200 banknote to be launched by RBI
According to a notification in the Gazette of India the Indian government has notified introduction of new Rs 200 notes on 23rd August 2017.
Key facts:
The Reserve Bank of India has launched the Rs 200 notes from 25th August from selected RBI offices and some banks.
The move is widely expected to ease the shortage of lower-denomination currency bills.

Nepal launched Climate-Smart Snow Leopard Plan
Nepal launched its climate-smart snow leopard landscape management plan on 23rd August 2017.
This plan is aiming to safeguard the endangered species of its habitat and snow leopard.
The plan is the first climate-smart landscape management for snow leopard conservation in the world.
Key facts:
Nepal’s conservation plan also comes ahead of the Bishkek Declaration, and all 12 range states at the close of the summit will be signing that and must pave the way for more substantial action to secure 20 snow leopard landscapes by 2020.
Bishkek Declaration:
The Bishkek Declaration was an agreement signed by 12 countries that are home to snow leopards.
These countries are Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia,Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
