Basics of TNPSC Group 2 Exam 

TNPSC Group II & IIA Post Details :

The TNPSC Group II and IIA exam is conducted to select candidate for various services in many departments all over Tamil Nadu. The Posts includes Deputy Commercial Tax Officer, Sub-Register, Junior Employment Officer, Revenue Assistant etc in case of Group 2 (Interview Posts) and for Group 2A (Non-Interview), it is Assistant in Ministerial Services.

The general nature of work will be Desk Job based on the department. The promotion varies from 6 to 8 years based on the departments.

Eligibility criteria for TNPSC Group 2 Exam

Age:

Minimum Age – 18 years generally (varies for some posts).

Maximum Age – 30 years or 40 years based on posts – only for “other category”.

No Maximum Age Limit for Candidates belonging to SC, SCA, ST, MBC, DC, BC, BCM & DW.

Educational Qualification:   Any Degree (Specialised degrees are needed for some Interview Posts).

PSTM (Persons Studied in Tamil Medium) – For PSTM, it is needed to have studied the degree in Tamil Medium.

How to Apply:  Through online registration. TNPSC One Time Registration is required.
