National Events:

S & P Global Ratings:

S & P Global Ratings has retained its projection of India’s economic growth at 7.3 % for the current fiscal. Inflation is likely to remain above the upper tolerance limit of 6 per cent till the end of 2022.
The data was given in S & P’s Economic Outlook for Asia Pacific. The Reserve Bank expects the Indian economy to grow 7.2 per cent in the current fiscal ( 2022-23 ).

Madagascar:

IFS officer Bandaru Wilsonbabu has been appointed as the next ambassador of India to the Republic of Madagascar. He is presently joint secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs.
Wilsonbabu , who has served as the joint Secretary in the Eurasia division , will be replacing ambassador Abhay Kumar. Capital : Antananarivo. Currency : Ariary. President : Andry Rajoelina.

Integrated Cryogenic Engine Manufacturing Facility:

A 208 – crore Integrated Cryogenic Engine Manufacturing Facility ( ICMF ) has been established in Bengaluru by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
The facility ( ICMF ) will cater to the entire Rocket Engine Manufacturing under one roof for ISRO. On September 27 , President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate ICMF , which houses over 70 high – tech tools and testing facilities.

INS Sunayna:

INS Sunayna entered Port Victoria Seychelles on 24 September. It will participate in the annual training exercise Operation Southern Readiness of Combined Maritime Forces.
This marks the first participation of an Indian Navy ship in Combined Maritime Forces exercise. It will be attended by India , the US , Italy , Australia , Canada , and New Zealand , and ship participation from the UK and Spain.

Swachh Toycathon:

Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry launched Swachh Toycathon on 26 September. It is a unique competition to make toys from waste. It will focus on efficient designs that can be replicated at a larger scale , and toys that comply with minimum safety standards.
It will be hosted on MyGov’s Innovate India portal. Center for Creative Learning , IIT Gandhinagar is the knowledge partner.

Rosh Hashanah:

Rosh Hashanah , the two – day Jewish celebration of the New Year is being observed on 26-27 September 2022. It translates to ” head of the year ” in Hebrew. It is observed on the first and second days of the Jewish month of Tishrei , the first month in the civil calendar.
Yom Teruah is the biblical name for this holy day. Teruah means a massive shout by a crowd or the blowing of a horn.

Aon plc:

Salaries in India are expected to increase by 10.4 % in 2023 as compared to an annual rise of 10.6 % to date in 2022 , according to a survey conducted by Aon plc. The firm analyzed data across 1,300 companies from over 40 countries in India.
Globally , India is the only country with highest salary increase in 2022 to date , as compared to other countries.

International Events:

UN Security Council:

Russia supports permanent membership of India, Brazil in UN Security Council. Russia has also said that India and Brazil, as important international countries, deserve to be permanent members of the Security Council.

Louise Fletcher:

US actress Louise Fletcher , who had won an Oscar in 1976 for her role as Nurse Ra ned in One Over the Cuckoo ‘ Nest , passed away in September 2022.
Fletcher became just the third woman to receive an Oscar , a BAFTA , and a Golden Globe for the same performance after winning her Academy Awards.
